SERVICE TECHNICIAN/ENGINEER
Alpha Technologies Ltd a leading supplier of laboratory and environmental monitoring instruments requires an additional service technician/engineer to join our support team.Based from our Blessington office the engineer/technician will be responsible for installation/support/modification and upgrades to instrumentation throuout our customer base.
Customer base: Universities, ITs, Hospitals, Research Institutes, Govt Depts, All Industries.
Instrumentation: Laboratory/Scientific, Environtal/ProcessMonitoring, Fermintation/Bioprocessing, Gas/Dust/Noise/Weather Detection/Monitoring.
Experience/Background: The candidate will have at least 2 years experience of servicing, installing , commissiong instruments in the above areas,will be versed in computer hardware/software and working in regulated environment.Be familiar with IQ/OQ/PQ and related procedures.
Personality: The candidate will be customer focussed have good communication/interpersonal skills, self managing and the ability to act on own inititive.
Qualifications: Cert/Diploma/Degree/City and Guilds/NC/NVQ Level 3 or equivelent, with at least 2 years experience of servicing electronic/electrical instrumentation in the above or related fields.
Clean license and the ability to work on own initiative essential.

TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE:

THE ROLE: The successful candidate will have responsibility for the sale and promotion of instruments and consumables to Irish laboratories.They will assist the sales team in in introducing the product range, provide technical support and training and demonstrate the products to existing and new customers.They will provide application support and assist customers in experimental design.
THE PERSON:
A good communicator who has confidence and assertiveness and who impacts positively on colleagues and customers.Works effectively and co-operatively with others, makes decisions and takes responsibility. A degree or higher in biological/medical sciences with relevant experience in molecular biology is essential. Experience in a management, marketing or sales is highly desirable.
THE PRODUCTS:
DNA Thermocyclers, Gel Imaging Systems, Classical and DNA Based Microbiology, Electrophoresis systems etc from our innovative, world leading suppliers.
THE CUSTOMER BASE:
All research and routine laboratories, national research institutes, medical and industrial research laboratories.
